Who can benefit from our courses and what is the level of instructional activity?

Our personalized one-on-one online instructional and tutoring service in MATH, SAT/ACT prep classes to students of all ages particularly serving the needs of the K9-12 marketplace.  Our goal is to help our students achieve their educational goals gaining mastery in school subject matter through technology mediated interaction with out tutors. To do so, we've developed a well-defined philosophy which adheres to the highest possible standards of academic excellence and professionalism

How long do I have to complete a course? We are providing the best tutoring service on a one-on-one basis. Personal one-on-one Online Tutoring Program is an intensive learning program designed to help students (K9 to 12) improve their math and prepare them for SAT/ACT as well.
Our highly customized program is based on the four steps as shown below:

         First, our Academic Director conducts an assessment on the student based on the information provided by the parent. This information is then used to plan, implement and evaluate programs to address the identified needs

         Second, Academic Director works with the Administrative Officer to plan and enroll the student to the program that address the needs of a student.

         Thirdly, the student enrolled is assigned to an instructor that would teach, train and evaluate the student�s performance for the given program. The instructor would conduct live classes online (synchronous session) at a specific time slot.
Homework's, assignments, discussions, etc are done offline using the asynchronous method of teaching

         Finally, The Academic Director would get the evaluations on a bi-weekly basis from the instructor on the students performance in both the sessions. This way, we ensure that our students are on the right track and making progress

The course delivery is individualized and made perfect for students who need to make immediate progress and for those who benefit from a high level of individual attention. Our unique one-on-online tutoring will

What's the first thing I should do?

 

  • First you need to register with Aspiringkidz. It's fast and easy.
  • You will be given a username and password.
  • Please visit the online Tutoring Center and login there with your username and password.
  • You will be there in the registered course.
  • The course will help you to learn the course content on anywhere anytime basis according to your pace and convenience.
  • The center offers you the unique opportunity of interacting with a math tutor real-time. 

Can I email the tutors my questions? Yes, you can contact us/tutors at anytime using their listed contact information.

How do I find out about the tutor? To find out about the tutor, look at the listing in the Class Index. The instructor controls most of the information displayed.

How do I submit assignments? The assignments forms provided in the classroom will provide different ways to submit an assignment: 1.) Type in provided text box. 2.) Copy/paste 3.) Upload your assignment file. For further details, see your instructor's class details.

I just enrolled in a class, now what do I do?  Read the information that your instructor has provided. Follow all instructions. Make sure you make note if there is a class meeting time. Ask your instructor if you have any questions regarding a class.

To enter your classroom, login and go to the LMS (LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM). This is the virtual classroom. The LMS is where teachers have set up their classes.

What does it mean by "Asynchronous" resources? This phrase means that an "offline tutor", a "live" person and not a computer, is putting up all classroom content. It also implies that while instructor content is not computer generated, you don't necessarily need to meet real-time with the instructor.

Click http://online.aspiringkidz.com and login using your user name and password.  You will find that everything is set up so that all types of communication and information exchanges can take place at your convenience. Classes may be computer generated, self-paced, or a simple chat session.  You will be able to communicate with the offline tutor through discussion forum and messaging.

What happens if I don't do well in the class? The importance of academic performance is individually based, and class instructors have the ability to communicate with you about your coursework and overall performance. We will be constantly assessing your performance.  Additionally we will provide you the instant feedback on every activity that you undertake under the guidance of the offline and online tutors.

 How can I report technical problems or difficulty in following the course ?

When do test score data become available? The tutor of the course you're taking will determine when test score data is made available. We made the provision for a detailed report of your participation and progress in learning the subject

What topics are forbidden? Any subject matter that we deem harmful will not be permitted. Also, any material that violates the Terms of Service will not be allowed. We will strive to provide an open, safe, and effective resource for all without violating the rights of others.

Technical Questions

  • Are there minimum requirements for my computer or browser?

You will need a computer, either PC or Macintosh, with access to the internet. That access can be either through broadband, such as DSL, satellite, or cable. If you are using Internet Explorer, you will need version 6.x or later. We recommend the open source Fire fox browser, as an alternative to IE, which is available for download at the Fire fox site, but this is not a requirement. You must have cookies enabled in your browser. You will need the free Adobe Reader software and Flash Player installed. If you do not already have Adobe Reader, you can download it by going to http://www.adobe.com 

  • What if I have trouble accessing the course or completing the course on my computer?

After you purchase the course, you are enrolled in the selected course as a user. When you log in with your user name and password you are taken to your Course Home Page. If you have trouble in accessing the course, you can  reach us through e-mail or by telephone for assistance with your course  The courses are designed  with user friendliness so that you can easily follow the pathway to completion. 

  • I know very little about computers. Is it going to be difficult for me to understand what I need to do ?

If you are able to access the internet with your computer, complete the payment process, and have some familiarity with viewing websites over the internet, you should have no difficulty completing the course online. If you are reading this answer on your computer, you will have no difficulty with your course!  However an option is available for you to get yourself familiarize by undergoing an induction on �How to learn online�. 

What if I forget my user name or password?

Go to the Login Page. Choose from the login box at the left-hand top the link �Lost Password�. In the new page Please enter either your username or your registered email address in the appropriate box. There is no need to enter both.. After you enter your e-mail address, you will receive an e-mail. Click the link in the e-mail to go to a page confirming that you requested a password change.

            How to access the online tutoring center?

Click on the given URL or Copy the URL  http://online.aspiringkidz.com

Click login link at the right hand top. Type in the User name and Password. Click "Enter".  Click the button on the right hand top- Online Interaction "Click Here".  There would be a drop down menu below "Communication" heading. which reads "GOTO LIVE SESSION"  Choose the session and Click on Enter. At this moment if your pop-up blocker is enabled, press the 'Ctrl" button when clicking on the "Enter" button and release the Ctrl button once the new window has opened up.

What if drop down menu is empty? It means you have no sessions that are live or you haven't been assigned any at this point in time.

 I don�t see any new window open up, once I've chosen a respective session and clicked "Enter"? This would mean your browser has the pop-up blocker. Press "Ctrl" key and click on "Enter" button. Release the "Ctrl" key when the new window opens up.

It asks for installation of an ActiveX, what do I do? The installation prompts are required to be granted access for full functionality of the application. Please press, "ALLOW"/"YES" when prompted.

The new window is open and I don�t see any content in it. There is a small broken bitmap icon on the top left of the window. What Do I DO? It means you don�t have Macromedia Flash Player version 8 or above installed in your machine. Please visit Click Here, install Flash Player 7 and refresh the page by pressing "F5".

 I'm in the new window which says "Detecting Internet Settings". Yet the "enter" button in that page is disabled. What do I do? The Internet connection is either slow or your connection to the server hasn't been established.

 Why is the message �Port not available� thrown? There are four ports namely Normal, Port 443, Port 1935 and Tunnel. If the connection does not succeed then this message pops up. Check the port connection, otherwise contact your admin.

Why is that the �NetConnection Rejected� message pops up at times? NetConnection is rejected if the user count exceeds a certain limit, then the message Connection Rejected is thrown up.

Why is that the message �NetConnection Failed� pops up? NetConnection fails to connect if the Routing Table Maintenance Protocol (rtmp) is not specified properly.

Why does agenda not work? Agenda�s XML would not have loaded properly. Also, the reason could be invalid session name.
 
Why does the message �Please check URL� pops up? The URL should start either with ftp:// or http://, if not this message is thrown.
 
Why isn�t the choices are not getting added after a particular point of time, in the survey? In survey, only a maximum of 10 choices are allowed for a particular question.
 
Why is that the choices are not getting added, in the survey? Check if the question is being written before the choices are added or check if the choice entered is valid one. Eg: empty choice is restricted.
 
Why is it that I am not able to send a survey?Check whether you have created a survey. Before sending a survey, select it and then click the button SEND.
 
Why am I not able to delete a particular choice? Check whether the choice that is to be deleted is highlighted. Then press the button Remove to delete the choice.
 
Why is that I am not able to send a private message in chat? Select the user to whom you want to send the private message and then type in the message and click send. Also, note that both in the public and private messages, empty messages are not allowed.
 
Why does some components get suddenly disabled? The components (eg., Whiteboard) could have been disabled, because the presenter might have restricted the access.

Why am I not able to access the other person�s camera? The error messages could be of two types, either Camera Not Found or Access Denied. The first error message could occur if the other person does not have a web cam attached to his/her machine. The second error message could happen if the other person denies the access of the web cam.
 
Why is there a delay in hearing the audio? The delay is because once when the user starts speaking, the audio gets recorded in the buffer and after it gets full, it sends the entire message to the other end, so there will be a delay of 3 seconds for the buffer to get filled.           
 
Why is it that the control to speak gets cut in the middle? If the presenter starts speaking, then the control for all the participants to talk gets cut, and also only one user can talk at a particular time. Simultaneous access is restricted. Before you speak, check whether the volume specifications are set correctly and also press control button when you start talking.
 
How will I change the agenda? When the image under the agenda tab is clicked, that particular image loads. If you want to change the agenda, then click the �Change Agenda� button at the bottom of the page. This will take you to the page where list of images are listed.
 
How do I test my microphone? Connect a mic to the system. To test the mic, first record your voice, by clicking the record button. After recording, press stop. Then, to check whether the messages have been recorded, click the play button. You will hear whatever u spoke. Now click the stop button. At a particular time, only one button will be enabled (either Record or Play).
 
How do I set the bandwidth? Click the bandwidth button and you will see a popup appearing with three choices. Click any of the choice based on the bandwidth which your network will support and then click Apply.
 
How do I see my Mentor? Click on the web cam beside the name of the Mentor or Presenter you wish to see and you will be able to see them. Sometimes the access might be denied by the opponent in which case you will not be able to view and also if the opponent does not have a web cam attached to his machine, then the message �Camera Not Found� pops up.
 
How do other participants hear my voice? Talk over the mic with the control key pressed or click the mic icon and then start speaking. Your voice will get stored in the buffer and once when the buffer gets full, the voice will be broadcasted to all other participants. The delay will be 3 seconds so that the empty buffer gets filled up and the same is been transmitted.

How do I verify my network status? The network status can be verified by looking at the status of rtmp (Routing Table Maintenance Protocol) port status. If it shows �Net Connection succeeded�, then proceed on to the next page by pressing Enter. Otherwise check the connectivity of the port.
 
Is it possible to detect system information? Yes, it is possible to detect the system information. The Flash player version, the operating system and the browser version is displayed when the user logs in.
 
Is there any possibility to erase an entire object? An entire object can be deleted with the help of an object eraser seen in the whiteboard.
 
Is there any way to send a message to one particular participant? Yes, this option is available. Click on the private chat tab, select the user, to whom you want to send the message to, under the participants list  and then type in the required message and press send. The message will then be broadcasted only to that particular user.         
 
If I close the Bandwidth dialog box without pressing the Apply button, will the changes come into effect? The user has to select the corresponding bandwidth, after which he needs to click the Apply button. Only then the bandwidth change will take place.
 
How do I expand the Chat window? There is a top arrow button at the side of the Chat window. Click on that and you will see the expanded chat window.
 
Why does the message �Connection has been reset� pops up? When the connection with the Flash Communication Server is lost, this message pops up.
 
Why does the message �User Already Exists� pops up? If the username already exists, then this message is thrown. So, select a different username and try logging in again.
